31 Maoists, two securitymen die in fierce Bastar gunbattle

At least 31 Maoists and two security personnel were killed in a clash in Chhattisgarh's Bastar. Over 650 security forces launched a coordinated operation, recovering bodies and capturing weapons. Union home minister Amit Shah applauded the forces, promising to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026. Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised the bravery of the forces.
