In a major success for security forces, 12 Maoists were killed in an intense encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. This comes just a week after another operation in which 8 Maoists were neutralized. The joint operation involved the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), CRPF, and CoBRA unit, targeting the West Bastar division of Maoists.
