"No Aadhaar, No Tatkal Ticket from July..." - Indian Railways' Big Rule Change Explained | Oneindia

Indian Railways Tatkal Rules: Starting July 1, 2025, Indian Railways will require Aadhaar authentication for all Tatkal ticket bookings online. From July 15, an Aadhaar-based OTP will be mandatory for booking Tatkal tickets both online and at ticket counters. This move aims to prevent fraud and speed up bookings, as the passenger reservation system is being upgraded to handle 1.5 lakh tickets per minute, a huge jump from the previous 32,000 tickets per minute. Minor fare hikes have also been introduced, but low-class travelers won’t be significantly affected. #IndianRailways #TatkalBooking #AadhaarAuthentication #TicketBookingUpdate #RailwayNews #IRCTC #TravelIndia #PassengerSafety #BookingMadeEasy #RailwayUpgrade #TatkalRules #July2025Updates #RailwaySystem #DigitalIndia #OTPVerification #TravelUpdate #RailwayReservation #TravelSmart #TicketBooking #IndiaNews #TravelTips #RailwaySafety #IRCTCUpdate #BookingSystemUpgrade #TrainTickets ~HT.178~
