Tamil Nadu govt firm against third language amid Rs 2k crore 'loss'

Tamil Nadu's Stalin government accused the Centre of "cheating" by not releasing Rs 2,152 crore Samagra Shiksha funds due to non-compliance with the three-language formula under the New Education Policy. The state is using its own funds for school students' welfare and teacher salaries. The state budget allocated Rs 46,767 crore for education.
