Centre extends Praveen Sood’s term as CBI Director by one year

The Centre has granted a one-year extension to CBI Director Praveen Sood, extending his tenure beyond May 24, 2025. The decision was made by the selection committee, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Sood, a 1986-batch IPS officer, previously served as the Director General of Police in Karnataka.
