Can't change EVM symbol loading unit for mock vote: Supreme Court

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 7 May 2025
The Supreme Court has enhanced EVM integrity checks by ruling that the symbol loading unit must remain unchanged during candidate-requested mock polls. This order came with the acceptance of the Election Commission's amended technical SOP, which includes self-diagnosis and mutual authentication. Engineers will also certify the software and memory of EVMs to ensure they haven't been tampered with.

Election Fraud Claims: BJP exposes Rahul Gandhi’s Baseless Attack on Democracy

Rahul Gandhi has once again resorted to Election Fraud Claims to cast doubt on India's electoral system. From raising questions on EVMs to now alleging "match-fixing" in Maharashtra, his narrative of Election Fraud Claims has no evidence. Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and JP Nadda have all slammed these Election Fraud Claims, calling them an insult to the people’s verdict. The Election Commission, too, has dismissed these charges as unfounded and misleading. Repeating Election Fraud Claims after every defeat weakens democracy and insults honest voters. It's time to reject fake narratives and trust the electoral process. #ElectionFraudClaims #RahulGandhiExposed #TrustElectionsIndia #DemocracyNotDrama #ECIClarifies
