4 more die in Punjab hooch tragedy; toll now 27

The death toll in the Majitha spurious liquor tragedy has climbed to 27, prompting Punjab's government to provide financial assistance to the victims' families, distributing Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of 22 deceased. Authorities have arrested 16 individuals, including the kingpin of the hooch racket, as investigations reveal the illicit liquor was made using methanol.
