24-year-old prisoner slits throat, swallows blade in suicide attempt at Chennai's Puzhal Central Jail

A 24-year-old remand prisoner, Daniel alias Sebastian, arrested for drug trafficking, attempted suicide in Puzhal Central Jail by slitting his throat and swallowing a blade. He was admitted to Stanley Medical College and Hospital and is currently in intensive care.
