Liquor ‘scam’: YSRCP MP played key role in policy changes

YSRCP MP PV Midhun Reddy has been remanded in judicial custody until August 1st following his arrest by an Andhra Pradesh SIT in connection with an alleged liquor scam. He is accused of orchestrating policy changes and coordinating kickbacks from distilleries, leading to a misappropriation of approximately Rs 3,500 crore during 2019-2024.
