The Thailand-Cambodia border has erupted into deadly violence, with over 130,000 civilians displaced and at least 16 killed as military clashes intensify near the ancient temple cluster of Preah Vihear and Ta Muen Thom. The historic dispute—rooted in colonial-era maps and a 1962 ICJ ruling—has turned the Emerald Triangle into a modern warzone. With F-16s deployed and artillery pounding civilian areas, both nations refuse to de-escalate, risking a broader Southeast Asian war amid rising nationalist fervor and global concern.
