Dr. Elena Herrera-Carrillo's team at Amsterdam UMC, with Yuanling Bao, Zhenghao Yu, Pascal Kroon, successfully eliminate diverse HIV strains using CRISPR/Cas9 in multiple cell types, marking a significant advancement in medical research. "Striving for an inclusive ‘HIV cure for all’ that can inactivate diverse HIV strains across various cellular contexts," the study authors have said.
