UK ditches mega green energy supply project from Morocco

The UK government on Thursday announced that it was abandoning a mega-project intended to bring solar and wind energy from Morocco for use by domestic consumers. Electricity was intended to be brought some 4,000 kilometres (2,485 miles) from north Africa via undersea cables to supply seven million UK households.
