US approves sending F-16s to Ukraine from Denmark and Netherlands
Friday, 18 August 2023 The US has agreed to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands to help defend against Russian aggression, pending pilot training. Denmark and the Netherlands had requested assurances that the transfer of the military aircraft will be permitted. Kyiv cannot operate the planes this autumn or winter, according to Ukraine air force spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat.
