Polish police cordon off Warsaw square amid reports of bomb threat

IndiaTimes Saturday, 14 October 2023
Police cordoned off Warsaw's Pilsudski Square after a man climbed onto a monument and threatened to blow himself up. He later surrendered to the police. The incident occurred a day before Poland's parliamentary election. The police did not confirm reports that the man was threatening to blow himself up. The Smolensk monument, which the man climbed onto, commemorates the victims of a 2010 air disaster.
