Gaza's crowded hospitals near breaking point as Israeli ground invasion looms

IndiaTimes Monday, 16 October 2023
Palestinians in Gaza are seeking shelter in hospitals and schools as they run low on food and water. Over a million people have fled their homes in anticipation of an Israeli ground invasion targeting Hamas. The military infrastructure of Hamas is hidden in urban areas, making street-by-street fighting likely to result in casualties. Israel has not provided a timetable for the ground incursion. Efforts are being made to reach a humanitarian ceasefire deal at the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt.
