Russia advises against travel to Israel and Lebanon
Friday, 20 October 2023 Russia has advised its citizens against travelling to Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and the Palestinian territories due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. The advisory comes amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, which has resulted in a significant number of casualties and injuries. Israel has reported that at least 1,400 people, mostly civilians, were killed in the conflict, while Hamas claims that 4,137 Palestinians, mainly civilians, have been killed in Israeli bombardments.
As the Gaza ground offensive looms, Israel launched overnight airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, according to a statement released by the Israeli Army.
