Web Summit CEO resigns after comments on Israel-Hamas conflict

Paddy Cosgrave, the CEO and founder of Web Summit, has resigned following backlash over comments he made about the Israel-Hamas conflict. His remarks led to some technology companies and investors withdrawing from the upcoming conference in Portugal. Cosgrave apologized for any hurt he caused and stated that his personal comments had become a distraction from the event. Web Summit will appoint a new CEO and confirmed that the 2023 conference in Lisbon will proceed as planned.
