Sudan army says to resume US and Saudi-led talks on ending war

The Sudanese army has accepted an invitation to resume talks aimed at ending the ongoing conflict with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The war between the army and the RSF has resulted in the death of over 9,000 people and the displacement of over 5.6 million. Previous mediation attempts have been unsuccessful, but the army believes negotiations may help end the conflict. The war has had devastating effects on the country's infrastructure and has led to a large displacement crisis.
