South Africa recalls ambassador and diplomatic mission to Israel and accuses it of genocide in Gaza

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
South Africa has recalled its ambassador and diplomatic mission to Israel in response to the bombardment of the Gaza Strip, which it calls "a genocide." The government also threatened action against the Israeli ambassador to South Africa over his remarks about the country's stance on the Israel-Hamas war. Pro-Palestinian protesters have called on the South African government to expel the Israeli ambassador. South Africa, along with other countries, has called for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza and for aid to be allowed into the region.
