Biden confuses Taylor Swift with Britney Spears on his 81st birthday
Tuesday, 21 November 2023 US President Joe Biden mistook Taylor Swift for Britney Spears during a speech he made on the annual Turkey Pardoning Day on Monday. Biden, who turned 81 on Monday, was in the midst of pardoning two turkeys, Liberty and Bell, when he inadvertently used the name Britney in reference to Taylor's current international tour. Cracking an old chestnut about how the turkeys have come this far to be pardoned, he said, "You could say even harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance tour....or, or, or ... Britney's tour ... she's down in ... it's kind of warm in Brazil right now’’.
