Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape made history on Thursday as he became the first Pacific leader to address the Australian parliament. During his speech, Marape emphasized the strong bond between the two countries, stating that "nothing will come in between our two countries." In a significant announcement, Australia has pledged to allocate AUD 100 million (USD 65.3 million) towards enhancing internal security in Papua New Guinea.
