Friday, 31 January 2025 Police in France are investigating after Jean-Marie Le Pen's tomb was vandalised, less than three weeks after the founder of France's far-right National Front party was buried.

In an interview with Euronews, EPP President Manfred Weber warned of an authoritarian wave in Europe, pledging never to cooperate with far-right parties like France's National Rally or Germany’s AfD, whom he accused of threatening European unity and democratic values.
