Treasury Secretary Said The Los Angeles Lakers Taking $4.6 Million Loan Was 'Outrageous'

The Los Angeles Lakers participated in the government relief program meant for small businesses.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said: "I'm a big fan of the team, but I'm not a fan of the fact that they took a $4.6 million loan.” He called it “outrageous” and said he was “glad they returned it” before facing “liability.” According to Business Insider, at least 284 publicly traded companies took advantage of the program.
