The recommendation comes following the largest review to date of studies on coronavirus transmission.

In a review from 172 studies, researchers found frequent handwashing and good hygiene are also critical to cut the risk.

Researchers caution that while all those measures combined can help, they do not give full protection.

Globally there have been over 6.3 million cases of novel coronavirus and a death toll of 377,560.
