Covid: Sisodia says 88,000 beds needed by July end, slams Delhi LG Baijal

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said around 5.5 lakh cases of Covid-19 are expected in Delhi by 31st July.

Sisodia said around 80,000 beds will be needed by 31st July to accommodate the patients.

This comes a day after Delhi’s L-G Anil Baijal overruled the AAP government’s decision of reserving beds for the capital’s residents.

If the cases kept doubling in every 12-13 days in the coming days, there will be a shortage of beds and Delhiites will bear the brunt, the Delhi deputy CM said, using this as the justification for his government’s order on hospital beds.
