Drivers battle through flash floods in eastern Thailand

A driver battles through a flooded road in Rayong, eastern Thailand, this morning (June 30).

The region was battered overnight with heavy rain, which caused flash floods up to 2ft deep in some residential areas.

Thailand has moved into its hot, annual rainy season, which sees violent rainstorms throughout the week until temperatures start to cool again towards the end of October.
