Rescued baby rhino separated from its mother finally drinks milk for the first time in India

This was the sweet moment a rhinoceros calf separated from its mother amid floods in northeast India’s Assam, drank milk for the first time after being rescued.

The clip, filmed on July 22, shows the calf suckling the bottle held by a keeper at the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation near Kaziranga National Park, at Borjuri village in Nagaon.

Reports suggest that the calf is in good health as of now.

The calf was among 117 animals that were rescued from Kaziranga National Park, which is home to the endangered Indian rhinoceros.
