And even though we're still in the middle of the pandemic - governor newsom still planning to increase minimum wage to 14 dollars per hour as planned.

That's roughly a 21 hundred dollar a year increase based on a 40 hour work week.

I feel like it would be a big step up for a lot of workers and it would give them a lot of motivation to work harder ((butt to)) i still don't think it would be enough to fulfill the essential needs that people will need, that might good enough for rent, but you still need to take into account groceries, utilities, and even pocket money just to do stuff on your own.
