Delhiites share mixed views on raising penalty for not wearing masks

Delhi government has increased the penalty for not wearing masks in public places from Rs 500 to Rs 2000.

Soon after the announcement, Delhiites expressed mixed views on the decision.

"The people who on daily basis earn 200-300 rupees, how will they pay the fine.

Instead the authorities should hand over mask to people who are not following the rule," said a local.

Another local said, "I think it is a good decision.

The govt has taken the decision for the benefit of people." While cases are surging, markets remain crowded in national capital.
