Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, is abuzz with anticipation as it braces for an extraordinary electoral showdown between the incumbent Member of Parliament, Shashi Tharoor from the Indian National Congress, and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's contender, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who also holds a ministerial portfolio in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet. In a recent statement, Chandrasekhar expressed his willingness to engage in a debate with Tharoor on the subject of development in Thiruvananthapuram, a Lok Sabha constituency that encompasses much of the Kerala capital. LS Polls 2024: Rajeev Chandrasekhar to contest from Thiruvananthapuram| Political journey| Oneindia

Among the 34 Union Ministers whose names featured in BJP’s first list of 195 candidates released last weekend was Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who has been fielded from Thiruvananthapuram, a seat in Kerala considered Congress leader Shashi Tharoor’s stronghold. While Congress has yet to announce its candidate from the constituency, if they choose to field Tharoor again, it will be one of the high-profile contests in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. Fielding Chandrasekhar is part of BJP’s aim to make inroads in Kerala, where it had failed to win any seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In one of his recent visits to Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about the goal of achieving a two-digit figure in the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 polls. #RajeevChandrasekhar #Thiruvananthapuram #LokSabhaElections #KnowYourMP #ThiruvananthapuramMPRajeevChandrasekhar #CongressMPRajeevChandrasekhar #IndianPolitics #Congress #PoliticalCareer #Leadership #ElectionCampaign #ThiruvananthapuramConstituency #PoliticalJourney #ElectoralStrategy #CongressLeader #RajeevChandrasekharInThiruvananthapuram #PoliticalMilestones #IndianDemocracy #ElectionDecision #CongressParty #VoteForRahul #PoliticalLegacy #CampaignTrail ~PR.152~ED.103~GR.124~HT.96~
