The Jammu and Kashmir government announced the new industrial package of Rs 28,000 crore which will boost economic growth in the Union Territory.

The new industrial package was welcomed by industrialists of JandK's Kathua district.

They have considered it as an economic reform in JandK.

The new package will also open the doors of employment for the unemployed youth.

The industrial sector was facing financial crisis amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Polling in 102 parliamentary seats across 21 states and Union Territories in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections commenced at 7 am on April 19 and ended at 6 pm. Over 102 parliamentary constituencies in 21 states and union territories headed to the polling booth on Friday, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent.
