Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Congress by asking that what's its direction? "I cannot understand the Congress. In Kerala, they are fighting against the communists. In West Bengal, they have an alliance with them. Congress has allied with the Muslim League and ISF in Kerala and West Bengal but in Maharashtra they are with Shiv Sena. What is your direction?" he said.
After emerging victorious in Gujarat municipal corporation and zila panchayat elections, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar held a press conference on March 03. Stating number comparison between results of 2015 and 2021 elections, Javadekar said that Congress has been completely wiped off. "Last week in Gujarat MCD elections over 6 seats, and BJP emerged victorious on all seats. But the results that came out yesterday for over 31 district panchayat, which basically includes voters who belong to villages and are farmers. Last time in 2015, Congress won 22 district panchayat seats and BJP was at 9. But this time, BJP has won all 31 seats and Congress has been wiped out completely. BJP has won 80% seats out of 979," said Prakash Javadekar.
While addressing a press conference in the national capital on February 28, the Information and Broadcasting (IandB) Minister of India, Prakash Javadekar said, "I am happy to announce that the IandB Ministry in collaboration with IIT Bombay will form a Centre of Excellence in Gaming and other related areas such as VFX and Animation. We are at an advanced stage of preparation and IIT will begin courses from this year itself."
While speaking to media in Chennai on March 08, General Secretary of CPI (M) in Tamil Nadu state, Balakrishnan spoke on seat sharing ahead of the assembly polls in Tamil Nadu. Balakrishnan said, "CPI (M) has forged an alliance with DMK and has been allocated six seats for the Assembly elections. We will work on all the 234 seats to defeat the AIADMK-BJP alliance."
National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has claimed that someone pretending to be the Jharkhand Chief Minister called him and asked him to work for Mamata Banerjee. ‘A few days ago I got a fake call where a person impersonating as Jharkhand Chief Minister asked me to work for Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata and get rupees 50 lakh. I called up Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP who told me tjat Devegowda ji (former PM) got the same call,’ the former J&K CM said. An Uzbekistan Army contingent arrived in New Delhi on March 08. The contingent reached India for Indo-Uzbek Joint Exercise Dustlik-ll. Rezang La Battalion Kharga Warriors are representing the army in the military exercise. It will be based on counter terrorist operations & enhancing military cooperation. On International Women's Day, women from Punjab reached Tikri on Delhi-Haryana border on to join the ongoing farmers' protest. A protestor said, "We urge the Central Government to roll back the three black laws." Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of the national capital since November 26 against the three newly enacted farm laws - Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, during 'Fit India Walkathon' in Delhi on March 08, urged countrymen to not believe in rumours and assured that the Olympics are on track and dates are finalised. "The process and protocols are to be decided otherwise the dates are finalised," added Rijiju. The games were scheduled to go-ahead last year in Tokyo, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion of centenary of Sri Nankana Sahib massacre, devotees flocked to Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara in Amritsar on February 21. The centenary of Sri Nankana Sahib massacre, which is popularly known as Saka Nankana Sahib, is being marked in an event on February 21. A large number of devotees offered prayers at Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara. Kirtan was also organised to mark the event. However, Ministry of Home Affairs denied permission to Sikh jatha which was planning to visit Pakistan on the 100th anniversary of Saka Nankana Sahib.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that country is proud of every Sikh what they have done for this country. "What have they not done for this country? Whatever respect we give them will always be less," he said. The prime Minister also slammed people who are misleading the farmers of Punjab by saying, "Language used by some for them and attempt to mislead them will never benefit nation." PM Modi asserted that Punjab suffered the most during partition and during 1984 riots. He asserted that country is proud of every Sikh. "They became victims of most painful incidents. Innocents were killed in JandK. Business of weapons was carried out in northeast. All this affected the nation," he said.
