Petrol and diesel prices in the national capital after a slight increase stood at Rs 90.99 and Rs 81.42 per litre, respectively on May 06. Prices rose by 25 paisa and 30 paisa respectively in Delhi. In Mumbai, the prices of petrol and diesel jumped by 22 paisa and 30 paisa to Rs 97.34 and Rs 88.49. The price of petrol and diesel in Chennai was Rs 92.90 and Rs 86.35 per litre respectively and Rs 90.92 and Rs 83.98 per litre in Kolkata.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the vaccination centre at Radha Soami Satsang Beas in the national capital on May 05. The centre has been launched by BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital. Kejriwal reviewed the vaccination process there. Large number of beneficiaries reached the centre to get the vaccine jab. CM Kejriwal said, "The vaccination drive is underway in Delhi in both private and government sectors. The only problem, we may face in future is of vaccine supply as we need it in large scale. We can finish the vaccine process within three months if we get sufficient supply of vaccine."
After lockdown in Delhi was extended by another week, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 04 announced free ration for all card holders for next two months in the national capital. He further declared a help of Rs 5,000 to all auto-rickshaw drivers and taxi drivers in Delhi. "We have decided that all ration card holders in Delhi, around 72 lakhs in number, will be given free ration for the next 2 months. It doesn't mean that the lockdown will continue for 2 months. It is just being done to help the poor going through financial issues. All auto-rickshaw drivers and taxi drivers in Delhi will be given Rs 5,000 each by Delhi government so that they get a little help during this financial crisis," said CM Kejriwal.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Gautam Gambhir on April 25 slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by saying Delhi CM is doing "low-level politics" over oxygen crisis and making people suffer in national capital. "What was your (Delhi CM) backup plan? Why did you not do anything in one yr? Now you write letters to all CMs for Oxygen. What happened to the 8 oxygen plants that you were setting up? You set up only 1. It's low-level politics that is making people suffer," Gambhir told ANI.
Amid complaints of oxygen shortage in Delhi hospitals, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Saturday said that Delhi has been allotted more than the oxygen quota it had asked for and it is the state government's responsibility to rationalise and plan for it. "Each state has been assigned their quota for oxygen as per the production of oxygen in India. Even Delhi has been allotted more than the (oxygen) quota they had asked for, and Delhi CM even thanked the PM for that yesterday... Now to rationalise the quota in a timely manner and the responsibility to finely plan it lies with the state government," said Vardhan. Watch the full video for more details.
