Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey says the Metropolitan Police managed the Sarah Everard vigil poorly, saying he was "genuinely shocked" by what he saw on Saturday night.

Former subpostmaster Alan Bates, who led the campaign to expose the Horizon IT scandal, has told the Post Office inquiry that the organisation has spent 23 years trying to silence him.
