TN polls: 'Our secular progressive front will fight 'Hindutva' forces,' says MDMK Chief
Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief Vaiko, after releasing his party manifesto for the upcoming state assembly elections, said that his secular progressive front will fight and protect Tamil Nadu from the invasion of 'Hindutva' forces and will win.
Calling AIADMK the "most corrupt government", Vaiko said that their alliance will be thrashed out.
MDMK chief Vaiko said, "Tamil Nadu is in the custody of the social justice and secularism.
Now, there is a grave threat from BJP circles, Hindutva forces to destroy secularism and social justice.
So it is our foremost duty to protect Tamil Nadu, from the invasion of Hindutva forces.
And AIADMK government is the most corrupt government ever seen in Tamil Nadu is fully supporting the Hindutva forces.

'Newsweek' reports meteorologists have warned
that a life-threatening storm could impact millions of
people across the central United States this week.
On April 23, AccuWeather issued a warning regarding , "one of the most widespread severe
weather events so far in 2024.".
According to AccuWeather, the incoming storm , "will unleash tornadoes, hard-hitting hail
and damaging winds across a dozen states.".
On April 25, the first storm of the system is set
to arrive, closely followed by subsequent storms
expected to last throughout the weekend.
AccuWeather warned the storms are expected to pose a , "significant risk to lives and property.".

Tennessee Passes Bill , Allowing Teachers to Carry Guns.
The Tennessee House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 68-28 on April 23, CBS News reports.
The legislation would grant some teachers
and staff the right to carry concealed
handguns at public schools.
The bill will now be sent to Republican
Gov. Bill Lee to either sign or veto. .
If signed into law, the legislation would represent the largest expansion of gun access in Tennessee since the deadly shooting at
The Covenant School in Nashville last year.

This Day in History: , Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Is Assassinated.
April 4, 1968.
King was shot and killed
as he stood on the second-floor balcony
of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN.
The “apostle of nonviolence”
had gone to Memphis in support
of a sanitation workers' strike.
Widely recognized as the most prominent
face of the American Civil Rights Movement,
Dr. King was just 39 years old.
In a prophetic speech the night before his murder,
King stated that, “I’ve seen the promised land.
I may not get there with you.".
Petty criminal James Earl Ray was arrested
two months later and eventually
pleaded guilty to King's assassination.
After being sentenced to 99 years in prison,
Ray recanted his confession. Questions of a
conspiracy to assassinate Dr. King continue to linger.
King's death sparked riots in
more than 100 American cities.
On April 9, tens of thousands of mourners
lined the streets of Atlanta to pay their respects
