‘Peace will be achieved with understanding in & around Afghanistan: Jaishankar

S Jaishankar said peace would only be achieved if there was understanding in and around Afghanistan.

The External Affairs Minister attended the 'Heart of Asia' conference in Tajikistan’s Dushanbe on March 30.

“This is a very important time in Afghanistan because the peace process is on.

I was here to set out the views of India on this occasion.

We believe that peace would be best achieved if there is an understanding within and around Afghanistan.

We also believe there needs to be good faith negotiations and that we should remain true to the principles of ‘Heart of Asia’.

The end state should be a democratic Afghanistan which looks after the minorities, women and children.” Watch the full video for more.
