Tamil Nadu government had imposed fresh COVID-19 restricts in order to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Government had also extended night curfew and Sunday lockdowns till further orders.

Government-run TASMAC liquor shops have been permitted to operate between 8 am and noon till May 20.

Locals thronged the shops on the morning of May 06 to get their dose of alcohol.
