The country is witnessing exponential surge in COVID-19 cases and because of which several states have imposed lockdown in order to break the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

Kerala Government too has imposed a nine-day lockdown to contain disease transmission.

The streets wore a deserted look in Thiruvananthapuram.

Kerala police was on strict vigil to enforce lockdown restrictions.

Only essential services have been exempted of the restrictions.

The state-wide lockdown which was enforced from May 8 will end on 16, 2021.
