A radiated ratsnake was caught under a family’s living room sofa in Thailand on June 1.

Rescue volunteers were called after the snake was spotted inside a resident’s house in Udon Thani province.

Rescue volunteers were called after the snake was spotted inside a resident’s house in Udon Thani province.

When the team arrived at the scene they searched under the furniture using a flashlight before discovering the snake’s hiding spot under the black leather sofa.

The creature tried to escape but the team was fast and caught the intruder after only five minutes.

The snake was taken with the team to be released later.
