Dance classes give hope to Portuguese prisoners
At Linho prison, in the western suburbs of Lisbon, inmates take part in a contemporary dance workshop.
Twice a week, the prison's former chapel is transformed into a dance studio under the guidance of artist and teacher Catarina Cรขmara, who is also trained in psychotherapy.
The "Corpoemcadeia" program seeks to prepare inmates for social reintegration and allows them, for the space of a few hours, to take their mind off their problems.
