Rishi Sunak to pay France £478m to tackle small boat crossings

The UK will pay France £478 million over the next three years to try and prevent small boats from crossing the Channel.

The package will fund a new detention centre in France and hundreds of extra law enforcement officers on French shores.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the package after holding talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at the first Franco-British Summit since 2018.

The summit represents a thawing in relations between the two countries after five years of Brexit wrangling, disputes over fishing rights, and two prime ministers’ sometimes undiplomatic utterances.

10,000 NATO Troops in Ukraine | WSJ Report's big claim| Putin warns striking, U.S, UK, France Troops

A secret Western plan to secure post-war Ukraine has been revealed, with France, the UK, and top U.S. generals reportedly shaping a strategy to deploy over 10,000 foreign troops after a peace deal with Russia. The proposal includes training forces for Ukraine’s army and a “reassurance force” to stabilize the nation. President Macron confirmed 26 nations have pledged support, forming a “coalition of the willing.” Moscow strongly opposes the plan, warning that any foreign troops could become legitimate targets. #UkraineWar #RussiaUkraine #NATO #PostWarPlan #France #UK #USGenerals #TroopDeployment #UkraineSecurity #CoalitionOfTheWilling #PutinWarning #GlobalConflict #EuropeanSecurity #Geopolitics #Kyiv #Moscow #UkraineUpdate #MilitaryStrategy #UkrainePeace #BreakingNews #InternationalRelations #SecurityGuarantees #UkraineCrisis #WorldNews #UkraineSupport #TroopPlan Also Read Ukraine Conflict Pretext To Take Various Steps Against Countries Having Economic Ties With Russia: Putin :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/ukraine-conflict-pretext-to-take-various-steps-against-countries-having-economic-ties-with-russia-p-011-7850261.html?ref=DMDesc Russia, China Oppose 'Discriminatory Sanctions' Against BRICS Countries: Putin :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/russia-china-oppose-discriminatory-sanctions-against-brics-countries-putin-7846217.html?ref=DMDesc Jaishankar Meets Putin in Moscow Amid Global Power Shifts :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/external-affairs-minister-s-jaishankar-holds-meeting-with-russian-president-putin-in-moscow-011-7836759.html?ref=DMDesc

Medvedev REJECTS Western Ukraine Guarantees | Macron, Zelensky’s Coalition Slammed as ‘Nonsense’

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has launched a scathing attack on Western-led security guarantees for Ukraine, calling them “worthless without Moscow’s input.” Speaking after a Paris summit hosted by Emmanuel Macron, where 26 nations pledged military backing for Kyiv, Medvedev dismissed the pledges as “complete nonsense” and accused the coalition of ignoring Russia’s role. He further warned that Russia will adjust its military posture along the NATO-Finland border, escalating tensions in Europe as the war in Ukraine enters a dangerous new phase. #Medvedev #UkraineWar #RussiaUkraine #SecurityGuarantees #UkraineConflict #MedvedevSpeech #CoalitionOfTheWilling #UkraineNews #RussiaUkraineCrisis #Macron #Zelensky #NATO #FinlandBorder #RussiaNATO #MedvedevQuotes #UkraineUpdate #BreakingNews #UkraineSupport #RussiaUkraineWar #Geopolitics Also Read War between France-Germany, Elon Musk will become US president: Predictions by close Putin aide :: https://www.oneindia.com/india/war-between-france-germany-elon-musk-will-become-us-president-predictions-by-close-putin-aide-3504786.html?ref=DMDesc Post Putin’s announcement on constitutional reforms, Russian PM steps down :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/post-putins-announcement-on-constitutional-reforms-russian-pm-steps-down-3015280.html?ref=DMDesc No visa needed for Indians to visit Russia's far east :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/no-visa-needed-indians-visit-russia-s-far-east-2408596.html?ref=DMDesc ~HT.318~ED.102~PR.152~
