How would Manipur's withdrawal from 'Suspension of Operation' shape up? | Explainer | Oneindia News
Few days back, the BJP-backed Manipur government had decided to withdraw from an agreement with two tribal militant groups, alleging that they were āinfluencing agitation among forest encroachersā.
This withdrawal was from the tripartite Suspension of Operation agreement between the Government of India, the Manipur government, and the two umbrella groups of Kuki militantsā¦which are the Kuki National Army and Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA).
The revocation of this agreement has now raised several questions as Home minister Amit Shah, ahead of the last yearās assembly elections, had promised to āsolveā the Kuki issue if the BJP was voted to power.
After this, the Kuki groups had officially announced their support for the BJP.
In this video, we take a look at this so called Suspension of Operation agreementā¦and briefly trace the roots of the Kuki insurgency.

The Government of India and Indian Armed Forces have officially released a detailed account of Operation Sindoor, Indiaās high-precision retaliatory strike on terror infrastructure inside Pakistan. The operation, executed overnight on May 6ā7, targeted 9 terror camps and several military installations in under 23 minutes, with zero Indian casualties. The Indian Air Force (IAF) showcased its technological edge by successfully jamming and bypassing Chinese-made air defense systems deployed by Pakistan. The use of indigenous systems like BrahMos, Akash missiles, S-400s, and long-range drones played a crucial role in neutralizing enemy targets with pinpoint accuracy. Indiaās air defense systems, in stark contrast to Pakistanās, operated at nearly 100% efficiency, intercepting hostile drones and missiles with precision. Operation Sindoor marks a defining moment in Indiaās counter-terror strategy and defense self-reliance.
