Italy mulls law against glorifying crimes online after a tragic mishap in Rome| Oneindia News
In the wake of a tragic incident where YouTubers driving a Lamborghini caused a fatal accident while performing a stunt for online audience, the Italian government is now considering to implement a law that would result in a maximum five-year prison sentence for those who glorify criminal activities online.
A 5 year old boy, Manuel Proietti, had died on the way to hospital and his mother and sister were seriously injured after the rented Lamborghini ploughed into the family’s Smart car in Casal Palocco, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Rome.
The crash last week reportedly occurred as a group called ‘The Borderline’ undertook a challenge to drive the luxury vehicle for 50 hours straight.
Four people, aged between 20 and 23, were in the Lamborghini.
The driver, who reportedly tested positive for cannabis, is under investigation for causing death by dangerous driving

Panic swept through Rome’s Prenestino district after a thunderous explosion rocked a gas and fuel depot, lighting up the night sky with a fiery orange blast. The explosion, which was reportedly heard far beyond the city limits, sent debris of glass, iron, and smoke into the air, triggering chaos across the area.
According to Corriere della Sera, at least eight police officers and one firefighter were injured while responding to the emergency. Residents described scenes of horror as they ran for cover from flying metal and shattering windows. The fire, still active, is being battled by emergency crews as investigations are underway.
