China arrests another of its govt workers of being a CIA spy; Second such claim this month
Chinese authorities have publicly accused a government worker of spying for the CIA, the second high-profile espionage case publicized this month as Beijing ramps up its emphasis – and rhetoric – on national security.
In a statement, the country’s civilian spy agency, the Ministry of State Security, said it is investigating a cadre at an unidentified ministry who was allegedly recruited by the CIA while he was studying in Japan.
Behind the scenes of the India-Pakistan ceasefire lies calculated pressure from the United States. Relying heavily on U.S.-controlled IMF loans and military aid, Pakistan was reportedly nudged by Washington to de-escalate. Gloss, in his social media posts expressed opposition to the war in Ukraine and described himself as ‘anti-fascism’.
