Responding to the home secretary's comments that the current asylum system is not “fit for our modern age”, the UNHCR Representative to the UK, Vicky Tennant, has said that the group is concerned when the relevancy of the UN Refugee Convention is “called into question.”

Following two years of challenges, British parliament has passed the controversial bill, CNN reports.

redirect asylum seekers to Rwanda, where their claims will be weighed by the East African country.
