Climate activist Greta Thunberg was detained by police in London on Tuesday after she addressed protesters at a demonstration against oil and gas companies in the centre of the city.
Greta has been detained by the police or removed from protests in Sweden, Norway and Germany so far this year.
Greta Thunberg’s Gaza-bound flotilla was forced to turn back after just a few hours at sea due to severe Mediterranean storms. The Global Sumud Flotilla Mission, which included activists and celebrities aiming to break Israel’s naval blockade and deliver humanitarian aid, delayed their journey to prioritize safety. Thousands of supporters had gathered in Barcelona to see the boats off, waving Palestinian flags and chanting for Gaza.
