I&B Ministry Issues Notices to OTT Platforms for Vulgar Content: Government Action| Oneindia

The I&B Ministry issued notices to Indian OTT platforms—Hunters, Besharams, and Prime Play—run by Webworld Multimedia Private Limited, directing them to remove v-ulgar content or face government action.

It's the first time the central government has invoked vulga-rity laws against an OTT platform, citing IT Rules 2021 and the IT Act.

The ministry gave the platforms five days to comply.
