CNN reports that the news comes amid calls by activists for President Joe Biden to phase out fossil fuels.

According to a December 19 report by S&P Global Commodity Insights, the U.S. is on track to produce 13.3 million barrels of crude per day - a global record.

Last month, the Energy Information Administration said that weekly U.S. oil production had hit 13.2 million barrels per day.

.

That's just above the 13.1 million record set in early 2020 under the Trump administration.

That's just above the 13.1 million record set in early 2020 under the Trump administration.

CNN reports that the surge in production has been driven by oil drillers in Texas and New Mexico's Permian Basin.

.

Output is reportedly so high that the U.S. is exporting oil overseas.

According to the S&P, the U.S. is exporting as much crude oil, natural gas liquids and refined products as both Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Itā€™s a reminder that the U.S. is endowed with enormous oil reserves.

Our industry should never be underestimated, Bob McNally, President of Rapidan Energy Group, via CNN.

S&P projections sugest that global demand for crude oil is on track to hit a record in 2024, but could "easily be met" by the surge in supply.

Hamas strongly reacts to Biden for linking Gaza cease-fire to hostage release | Details

Hamas criticised US President Joe Biden on Sunday for linking a Gaza cease-fire to the release of Israelis held captive by the Palestinian group. Biden stated on Saturday that a cease-fire in Gaza could occur as soon as ā€œtomorrowā€ if Hamas released Israelis in its custody. Hamas deemed this stance as a step backward from the outcomes of previous negotiations. They noted that their approval of a proposal, facilitated by mediators from Egypt and Qatar, had been done with the knowledge of the United States. #BidenCeasefire #CeasefireOffer #US #Netanyahu #RafahOffensive #biden #israel #hamas #rafah #hostage #palestine #MiddleEast #usa #IsraelHamasWar #houthis #hezbollah #iran ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.194~GR.121~

Biden Reaches Out To Hamas With Ceasefire Deal as Israel Pushes Deeper Into Gazaā€™s Rafah

US President Joe Biden has directly offered a ceasefire to Hamas, stressing that the decision now lies with the group. Biden indicates that the ceasefire could be implemented as early as tomorrow if Hamas releases its hostages. Additionally, Biden extends an offer to Israel, providing valuable intelligence on Hamas leaders' whereabouts if Israel refrains from a major operation in Rafah. The US also pledges assistance to Israel in erecting large shelters for Palestinians evacuated from Rafah. However, Biden issues a warning to Israel, stating that the supply of artillery shells and weapons could be halted if it proceeds with an attack on Rafah. Despite multiple rounds of indirect negotiations, Hamas and Israel have yet to reach a ceasefire agreement. #BidenCeasefire #CeasefireOffer #US #Netanyahu #RafahOffensive #biden #israel #hamas #rafah #hostage #palestine #MiddleEast #usa #IsraelHamasWar #houthis #hezbollah #iran ~PR.152~PR.282~
