More countries join talks on Ukraine peace formula, but China is missing
Ukrainian officials hailed a it as a “good sign” that the number of participants in a string of conferences on Zelenskyy’s peace formula was growing — nearly half from Europe, as well as 18 from Asia and 12 from Africa.
A day after massive Russian strikes, Moscow now accuses Ukraine of sabotaging its own forces. Russian expert Andrey Marochko claims Kyiv lost nearly 4,000 troops in Lugansk alone within a week, including foreign fighters. Ukraine’s counteroffensives reportedly failed to stop Russian advances in Kharkov, Donetsk, and Lugansk. Russia maintains the initiative, launching precision strikes and accusing Ukraine of wasting troops and equipment. As Ukraine struggles to hold its defensive lines, Russia insists its objectives under the "special military operation" are steadily being fulfilled.

Suspects in the March 2024 Crocus City Hall massacre that killed 149 people have reportedly told Russian investigators that a Ukrainian state entity ordered the attack. According to interrogation transcripts cited by Russian media, the attackers — all Tajik nationals — said the assault was executed by ISIS-K but coordinated through a handler named "Saifullo" linked to Ukraine.
The suspects were allegedly promised $13,000 each and instructed to flee to Kiev after the attack. They claimed their weapons came from Ukraine, with operational guidance originating from Türkiye and Afghanistan. Ukraine has denied any role in the incident, though it has previously admitted to sabotage inside Russian territory. The attack, which also injured over 600 people, marks one of the deadliest in Russia in recent memory. Questions persist around the true orchestrators of the massacre and whether foreign intelligence or proxy actors were involved.
