Farmers' protest: Haryana Congress says youth passed away due to police action; Cops deny | Oneindia
Tragic news has emerged from the heart of the ongoing farmer protests at the Khanauri border.
The Haryana Youth Congress has raised serious allegations against the Haryana Police, claiming that a 21-year-old farmer from Punjab lost his life due to police action against peaceful protests.
However, the Haryana Police is vehemently denying these allegations, dismissing them as mere rumours.
With a decision on resuming their march to Delhi expected to be made by farmers on Thursday, the cancellation of passports and visas of those involved in violence during the agitation is being sought by the Haryana Police. Protesting farmers from Punjab have been camping at the Khanauri and Shambhu points on the Punjab-Haryana border since February 13 after their march to the national capital was halted by security personnel. A decision on the march is anticipated to be taken by them on February 29. The farmers are demanding the acceptance of their demands by the central government, including a legal guarantee for a minimum support price (MSP) for crops and a farm loan waiver.
